The R.A. Fisher Method or the chi-square is a statistical technique that has been developed by R A Fisher in order to answer questions of interest without getting into complicated formulas, which can be time consuming and difficult methods of data analysis/descriptive statistics and mathematical modeling as well as regression analysis (Efron, B., 2008). This method is widely used in statistics and research all around the world, and it has been used by different researchers in different fields such as medicine, biology, chemistry, sociology and more. The R.A. Fisher method is used to answer questions such as data distribution or patterns that a researcher wants to study; this includes things like the measurement of scores for an experiment and their relationship to other factors (Efron, B., 2008). However this method can be misused many times because of the complicated calculations it involves and most importantly the time it takes in order to do those calculations (Wang et al., 2014).
The R.A. Fisher method involves three main steps in order to answer a question or to create a new hypothesis. The first step involves creating the null hypothesis. The second step involves constructing the most probable or most interesting alternative hypothesis in order to reject the null hypothesis and this is done by creating either of the two probabilities that are shown in Figure 1 (Efron, B., 2008). The final step is calculating the probability of obtaining a score that has both high probability of being true and rejecting the null hypothesis (Efron, B., 2008).
