Underground Donut Tour's First Donut Tour
For those who enjoy donuts, the Underground Donut Tour in Chicago is an adventure that shouldn't be missed. It's the first of its kind in the city as a guide takes a small group to some of the bakeries in the area to see how donuts are made and to sample a few menu items. The tour lasts over two hours, so comfortable shoes and attire are recommended.
When exploring the types of tours offered in Chicago, some noted that there wasn't a donut tour, which is how the idea came about for this adventure. This is a tour for the entire family to enjoy. While traveling in the city, guests will visit at least four different stores that sell donuts. Some stores offer more than just these pastries, but all of them offer donuts of some size, shape, or taste. All of the shops are located in the Chicago Loop, making it easy to reach them in a short time. For now, the tour is only offered on the weekends. Guests will meet at the Chicago Market on Saturdays and Firecakes Donuts on Sundays. All of the donuts that are consumed are included in the cost of the tour. There is an option to purchase donuts to take home.
Enjoy a variety of donuts on this tasty tour through Chicago. With a cup of coffee in hand, explore a food that doesn't always get the recognition it deserves. After the tour, take in some of the other attractions or do a bit of shopping in the area.
We've always had a passion for donuts, but only recently did we realize just how many others do too. And when looking around, we didn't see anything that truly celebrated donuts in all their glory, hence the Underground Donut Tour was born.
