Once your entire group feels comfortable on their Segway's and are fitted with protective gear, it's off for a magical ride around Millenium Park, where you can take in the view of ice skaters gliding around the ice rink, located just beneath the infamous Cloud Gate Sculpture.
Once you leave Millenium Park your guide will lead you up a magnificently lit Michigan Avenue, lined with trees that are bedecked in the most beautifully colored Christmas lights. Not far from the twinkling lights are the seemingly magical Holiday displays at Macy's front windows.
Daley Plaza is the next stop on your tour. Hop off of your Segway and wander around the Christkindlmarket, the most substantial open-air Christmas venue in the city. What is unique about Christkindlmarket is that it is embellished to resemble a snowy European village, complete with all the delicious German fare that one could hope to sample, like apple strudel, Brat's, and Gluhwein.
Once you have enjoyed your German treats and warmed yourself with a hot cup of cocoa, hop back on your Segway and head back through the colorful streets of the Windy City, back to Millenium Park where your two-hour two will reach completion.
Bundle up in your warm clothes and make your way to a conveniently located point near Millennium Park in downtown Chicago to meet your guide for your Segway tour.
Please arrive 15 minutes prior to the tour's scheduled departure time to check in and fill out waivers. All guests will be fitted with helmets. The tour begins at the departure time with a video and comprehensive one-on-one training with the tour guide. Training ensures that even the most nervous guest feels comfortable for the duration of the tour.
Admire the holiday splendor of the Windy City as you watch ice skaters twirl around the Millennium Park Ice Rink, located below the city's iconic silver 'bean' sculpture (officially named Cloud Gate). Then glide along Michigan Avenue under trees that glow with colorful lights and take in the fabulous holiday window displays at Macy's.
Stop at Daley Plaza to check out the German-inspired Christkindlmarket, the city's largest open-air Christmas festival. Made to resemble a European village in winter, the famous market features timber houses and festive booths that sell ornaments, gifts and German fare such as bratwurst, fried potatoes, Gluhwein (mulled wine) and apple strudel.
Have time to purchase a cup of hot chocolate to sip while taking in the market. You might hear a choir singing Christmas carols and spot the Christkind, the traditional gift-bearing angel in Germany. The 50-foot-tall (15-meter) Picasso sculpture appears to observe the holiday bustle from its perch in Daley Plaza while the city's official Christmas tree glistens with ornaments and lights.
After taking a break to enjoy the holiday cheer at the Christkindlmarket, hop back on the Segway and return to Millennium Park where your 2-hour tour ends.
