The South Carolina Aquarium provides the entire family with a fascinating look into the wilds of our world through a number of animal exhibits and hands-on activities! The South Carolina Aquarium offers excitement and inspiration for visitors of all ages. You will be amazed by the experiences that lie ahead. See the wonders of over 5,000 amazing animals from river otters and sharks to sea turtles in over 50 interactive exhibits. Interact with divers in the depths of the tallest tank in North America then get a hands-on experience at the Touch Tank where you can touch Atlantic stingrays, sea urchins and more!

Embark on a journey through the island of Madagascar in the Madagascar Journey exhibit at the South Carolina Aquarium. Travel through the planet’s richest landscape, exploring Madagascar’s wild species, vibrant flora, and natural secrets. Guests of all ages will delight as they come face to face with lemurs, eye to eye with chameleons and nose to nose with some of the world’s most colorful fish.

The Aquarium also has an enormous 4-D Theater, which combines 3-D imaging with an interactive environment. Watch an ocean documentary and feel the ocean spray and the trembling ground. Smell the salty sea air, and surf the coast all from your seat. The theatre also features family favorites so that you can completely immerse yourself in incredible adventure and journey tales.

I loved the sc aquarium!!!!!! We saw the penguins, and even the alobino alligator. It was huge! Our day was fun and exciting! We saw lots of coloful fish and coral. It will be a trip you will never forget!

Unique venue. Presentation by divers in the large tank was great. Displays were informative. I'm sorry we did not have the grand kids with us. They would have loved this place!
