About Magnolia Plantation Gardens

The gardens at Magnolia Plantation, open to the public since the 1870’s, attract tourists from around the world each year. The plantation was known for its beautiful gardens after John Drayton inherited the plantation in the 1840s and began developing the gardens. The gardens include a tropical garden, cypress lake, maze, swamp garden, wildlife refuge, and so much more.
