Your tour begins with pick ups in both Niagara Falls and Buffalo, New York. You'll start in a comfortable 15 passenger van where you'll travel for roughly 1.5 hours along the shores of Lake Erie towards the spectacular Amish country. Along the way you'll learn about the Underground Railroad and how it was connected to New York as well as the possibility of it being connected to the Amish communities. Once you arrive at Leon Historical Society's 1836 Church, you will be treated to a welcoming orientation that gives you an overview of the Amish Community as well as the history of the Conewango Valley. During the orientation, you'll be offered a unique treat, Amish coffee and donuts. After your relaxing stop, you'll board your bus and begin the 5 hour tour that will offer you plenty of opportunities to enjoy shopping for local Amish crafts and baked goods as well as numerous chances to experience the special culture the Amish are so well known for. This country is rich in scenic beauty and your tour offers many chances to view rolling, lush green landscape as well as scenic Amish homes.
This tour requires reservations. Each guest will be provided coffee, donuts and a box lunch. Each tour includes a professional tour guide and all admissions into all stops. Please be aware that Amish are famous for their disconnect from modern technology, there are no credit card processing machines, you must bring cash. There is no computer access in the are due to the Amish way of life.

This 6-hour adventure begins with central pick-ups in both Buffalo and Niagara Falls NY using a 15-passenger Van. The scenic 1 1/2 hour drive along the Western Shore of Lake Erie en-route to Amish country is narrated on the topic of the Underground Railroad and its connections and sites in New York States Southern Tier and it's possible connections to the Amish communities. We arrive at the Leon Historical Society's 1836 church building in Leon for welcome and historic orientation to the Amish Community of Western New York's Conewango Valley along with Amish donuts and coffee. We then re-board the van to begin our 5-hour tour stopping at sites to experience culture, purchase crafts and bake goods while taking in the landscape. Make sure you bring cash for purchases as Amish products are extremely inexpensive, hand-made and one of a kind. There are no computer terminals to process credit cards, everything is done as in the early 20th century. A box lunch will be provided as we move around Amish country. Space will also be provided for items purchased as the tour concludes and we travel back to our pick-up locations.
