Wilson's Creek National Battlefield Arts in the Park Concerts near Branson, MO
There will be a 50 piece orchestra performing patriotic selections from the College of the Ozarks band. The Stillwater Drive band is a local bluegrass group that will also be featured. The annual favorite, 45 member Missouri State University Community Band will be performing various pieces. High Strung, from the Springfield-Branson area, is coming back this year to perform. On the last day of the arts in the park events, the Ray House Jamboree bluegrass music festival will feature several local groups.
The area where the event will be taking place is also a major historical landmark! The Wilson’s Creek National Battlefield was where the first major battle of the Civil War in the West took place. The park offers a whole variety of activities to do such as hiking trails, several historical exhibitions to tour, and a gift shop with civil war literature and souvenirs.
This park boasts upwards 200,000 visitors annual. There is a lot of history to soak in and the arts in the park event is the perfect opportunity to surround yourself in it. All of the evening concerts will be free and open to the public. The Ray House Jamboree will be ticketed at the regular battlefield admission price.
