An Ozark Mountain High-Rise Attraction, the Branson Scenic Railway!
You can enjoy the view of Branson's beauty while relaxing in the style of yesteryear on the Branson Scenic Railway.
This rail tour features a 40-mile ride through the Ozark hills and captures the historical luxury with restored railroad passenger cars that will make you feel like you've gone back to the 1940s and 1950s. While you ride, you'll also get to hear about the region's rich history and see the area like you never would on your own or via any other type of transportation. Sights include Crest Tunnel, Cricket Tunnel, Walnut Creek Trestle, Barren Fork Trestle and Tharp's Grade, and you'll learn about long-lost railroad communities as well as the area's wildlife and landscape.
The Branson Scenic Railway takes the glass-topped railway cars through the Ozark Mountains, delves into valleys and crosses numerous bridges and tunnels. The trip lasts about one hour and 45 minutes, during which riders can visit all of the train's unique cars.
The classic railroad cars depart from the railway's headquarters in downtown Branson, located in the historic depot dating back to 1905. There's also a gift shop stocked with mementos and souvenirs to commemorate your visit. Refreshments are available for purchase on board.
The Branson Scenic Railway runs from March through December. On Saturdays in May through December, dinner tours are offered and feature a four-course candlelight meal.
Don't miss this one-of-a-kind trip back in time. It's a must-see stop, and one of Branson's most classic attractions.
