Don't miss country star Kellie Pickler as she comes to the Branson stage; since competing American Idol, this country singer has made a name for herself in the industry with hits like, "Best Days of Your Life", and many others.
Bringing her country sound to the stage, Kellie performs lyrics that are not only emotional, but masterful and entertaining. She is sure to have the crowd on their feet dancing, clapping, and singing along with her music.
Pickler got her start on American Idol, where she came in sixth place. Though she did not win the contest, it did help to launch her career and she signed to 19 Recordings/BNA Records in 2006. She also toured with the American Idols LIVE! Tour while working on her first debut album. "Red High Heels", her first single, debuted on September 13, 2006. The video was released a month later and was nominated for a CMT Video Award for Breakthrough Video of the Year.
She released her debut album on Halloween of 2006, and it reached number nine on the Billboard 200. Not only did it reach the Top Ten, but the album sold over 79,000 copies in the first week, granting Pickler the highest-selling-first-week sales for a new artist in 2006. After her initial success, Pickler went on to release several albums, win awards, and even won Dancing with the Stars.
Currently, she is not only writing and performing music, but she also is involved in multiple forms of philanthropy, being a huge advocate for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital as well as the American Red Cross. She has also participated in three USO tours, performing for deployed soldiers in foreign war zones.
