About Dennis Tufano
Tufano was born in Chicago, Illinois and inherited his skills in music from his father, who also was a singer and musician who played sax, harmonica, and violin. When living in Chicago he started a rock and roll band and began hitting the local band scene in the mid to early 60s. In 1965, they were joined by two more members to make a full band and auditioned for a spot on the local television station when a security guard suggested the name, "The Buckinghams," where they then won a contract for 13 weeks. The group then had many chart-topping hits and Tufano continued that success to go on to film, radio, television, and even television commercials.
About Mitch Ryder
Mitch Ryder was born in 1945, he formed his first band group during his high school years and sang backup for a soul-music group during his teenage years. He then moved on to a limited success band known as Billy Lee & The Rivieras which then was renamed to Mitch Ryder & The Detroit Wheels where they had multiple hits which went up to number four. Ryder became to see less success in the early 70s and took up painting and writing. In 2012, he released his first release in the US in nearly 30 years and now continues to tour and record.
