Your friendly tour guide will meet you at the Austin visitor center about 20 minutes before it’s time to leave. You will see Lady Bird Lake, a reservoir built in 1960. The lake is named in honor of former first lady, Lady Bird Johnson, for her efforts in beautifying the lake.

You will pass by the University of Texas, which boasts alumni like Matthew McConaughey, Farrah Fawcett, Ricky Williams, Eric Metcalf, Janis Joplin, Laura Bush, Renee Zellweger, and Felicia Day.
