Georgia Horseback Ride with Wine Tasting
If you're planning a trip to the northeastern part of Georgia, you can go horseback riding and wine tasting. Depending on availability, you'll be informed, tourists can either go horseback riding in Clayton or Helen, Ga. Helen's trails are winding through the open fields of a glorious countryside of streams and wilderness. Clayton is a journey through the mountainous regions. The rides begin at 10:30 a.m. at one of three locations.
After the horseback ride, the tourists will be treated to a picnic lunch of turkey on flat bread with mustard, some humus, nuts, and seasonal berries straight from the farm. After lunch, participants will be driven 15 to 50 miles to the nearby winery for an afternoon of wine tasting. The Boutier Winery in Danielsville, Ga, has six different seasonal wines to try. These flavorful and fruitful wines have been carefully selected from the local produce and area vineyards.
Boutier Winery has 32 acres of Vinifera and French American grape varietals. The minimum age for the horseback riding and wine tasting is 13 years old. Wine tasters have to be at least 21 years old because the minimum drinking age in Georgia is 21.
Boutier has won many awards: Gold, silver, and bronze for several of their fine wines. The wines fall into four categories that are Red, White & Blush, Fuit & Dessert, and Georgia. Clayton, Ga was founded as Claytonville, Ga in 1821. Helen, Ga was founded in 1911.
The horseback riding a wine tasting takes place in the fresh country surroundings. If you come with a small group, you will get personal service. All the staff members are CPR trained.
Three days before your journey, we will email you information about the location. Depending upon availability, we will utilize our Clayton or Helen GA location. The trails in Helen wind through open fields, streams and wooded trails.
