Spring Break in Asheville, NC

Are you spending Spring Break in Asheville, NC?  You will have plenty to do, so why not start out by heading to the Blue Ridge Mountains for a hike?  There are trails for everyone, and you might prefer a challenge, so get your friends and get up there!  Many access points to the mountains are within fifteen minutes of Ashville.  The Mountains to Sea Trail eventually extends from Clingman’s Dome to Nag’s Head, so you might want to try a section of this trail to hike.

How about horseback riding while you are in town?  Sandy Bottom Trail Rides offer guided trail rides or two-hour river rides for riders over age fourteen through parts of the river, and they warn you that you will get wet!  If you want something more calm, the Biltmore offers 45 minute guided carriage rides.  Afterwards, you can be amazed as you tour the Biltmore Estate, America’s largest home.  Across the street from the Estate, you can eat at one of the outdoor cafes at the quaint Biltmore Village.
