Congratulations to the Bennett Family of Norfolk, Nebraska!

After 30 days of voting in Vacations Made Easy's "Believe in Dreams" program, we are proud to announce that the Bennett's "Family Gives Thanks Despite Hardships" story has received the most votes from our site visitors. The Bennett's story — which was submitted by their friend Pat Loontjer — received more than 1,000 votes throughout the month of June! We launched our Believe in Dreams program earlier this year with the hopes of helping a deserving family that has faced significant challenges experience a dream vacation together. As the winning family, the Bennett family has decided to travel to Branson, Missouri, for a vacation filled with the live entertainment, family fun, attractions, and theme parks for which the Ozark Mountain resort town is famous. Loontjer's essay described some of the challenges faced by the Bennett family, which includes Warren & Vyckie Bennett and their seven children - Angel, 21; Berea, 15; Chasse, 14; Hazelle, 10; Andrew, 8; Lydia Jean, 6; and Wesley, 3. According to friends, the Bennetts maintain a positive outlook on life while working to overcome challenges which include a debilitating disease called Multiple Hereditary Exostosis from which three of the children suffer, as well as Warren's loss of vision from an industrial accident in 1978.
