Yellowstone National Park has long been one of our nation's most famed parks with iconic features including Old Faithful Geyser. And with Yellowstone in Winter by Snowcoach you'll find a pristine example of a winter wonderland as you explore the Yellowstone area from Salt Lake City to Jackson Hole over a rugged six days of adventure. Day 1 - The Yellowstone in Winter by Snowcoach will begin in Salt Lake City. The outing's guide will be waiting at the Salt Lake Airport to greet you into the city, and then take you and the rest of the group to your downtown hotel to check-in and get situated. That evening, a banquet will be held to help you become acquainted with the other members in your party. Day 2 - You'll begin your first full day on the journey in moving fashion as you bear witness to the Mormon Tabernacle Choir perform at Temple Square. From there, you'll begin your trek into the wilderness as you depart for Yellowstone. Along the journey you'll pass through areas including Ogden, Utah's first settlement. Once arriving in Yellowstone, you'll check-in at the Holiday Inn Sunspree Resort and rest from the day's travels. Day 3 - This will be your first day of exploring Yellowstone National Park, and is sure to keep you busy with activities and sights throughout the day. You'll ride in a chartered snowcoach as you are taking past numerous iconic landmarks including Firehole Falls and Old Faithful. After breaking for lunch, the journey will continue as you begin to explore the Grand Teton National Park - home to America's youngest mountain range, the Teton Range. From there, you'll make your way to Jackson Hole, WY where you'll finally settle down for the night. Day 4 - You'll arise early on day four to ensure that the time is well spent as you continue to admire the Teton range. First, you'll visit the National Elk Refuge to experience the majestic elk in its natural environment. Next, it will be off to the National Museum of Wildlife Art. Here, you'll experience close to 2,300 works of art, each depicting touching views of natural areas. From the National Museum of Wildlife Art, you'll have the rest of the afternoon to free to explore the shopping and dining options of Jackson Hole on your own. Day 5 - Day five will see your party saying goodbye to Jackson Hole and traveling back towards Salt Lake City. Along the drive, you'll enjoy views of the Snake River Canyon, and Starr Valley. Once back in Salt Lake City area, you'll be taken to the Utah Olympic Park, home of the 2002 Winter Olympics, for a historical look into the accomplishments of the region. Come night, it will be time to attend the farewell banquet for one last time together with your new-found friends. Day 6 - The last day of the journey will provide transfer from the hotel to the Salt Lake City Airport, representing the final chapter in your winter travels through the natural area of Yellowstone National Park. Outdoor enthusiasts are sure to enjoy the many sights seen along this unique winter excursion, though even those that typically stray from roughing it will find an accommodating time that can offer the comforts you've grown to expect while still presenting one-of-a-kind scenes of nature. |
