Along the Thailand Cycle Tour Sukhothai to Chiang Mai you'll travel the length of Thailand, taking in scenic views by bike over the course of 6 days / 5 nights. During the journey, you'll uncover the culture and natural beauty of the country, witnessing burgeoning cityscapes, countryside, villages and tropics! Day 1 - Once you've arrived in Sukhothai, you'll meet with your Tour Manager and other party members at the airport to get started on your week-long trek through the beauty and culture of Thailand. You'll spend the morning in a bike fitting session to ensure that you comfortable and safe transportation throughout the voyage. After preparing your gear, you'll enjoy a light lunch. After lunch, you'll take a light ride throughout the Sukhothai area to become better acquainted with both the city and your bike. Day 2 - On day two, you'll transfer from Sukhothai to Sawanakhlok and explore the many wares, such as pottery and textiles, that the area is famed for. Next, it will be off to Si Satchanalai to visit ruins dated from the 13th through 15th centuries. Once returning from the ruins, you'll transfer back to Sukhothai from Sawanakholk and rest for the remainder of the afternoon. Day 3 - Today, you'll take to the countryside of Thailand as you ride along gentle roads and simply soak up the scene and culture of Thailand's rural areas. Day 4 - Day four will continue to uncover the rural scenes of Thailand, while also allowing for stops at a local temple and chance to meet with many of the communities along the ride. Towards the evening, you'll catch a transfer to your lodging for the night at HotResort. Day 5 - Day five will take you to the Mae Ping valley and through the rural town of Chom Tong. This afternoon, you'll visit the highest point in all of Thailand, Doi Inthanon, and gaze out upon waterfalls, lush green, and the open sky. Day 6 - On day six, you'll first transfer to Chiang Mai and then follow the Ping river towards Ban Tawai, renowned for its crafts. Here, you'll have time to shop and browse the wares of the village before heading back to your hotel and enjoying a farewell dinner with your entire travel party. |
