Day 1 – San Antonio, TX
The first day of your visit will see you arriving in San Antonio with time to check-in to the Drury Plaza Hotel, a beautifully restored hotel that was once the iconic Alamo Bank Building. Throughout the day, you’ll have the opportunity to either explore on your own or simply rest for the journey ahead.
Day 2 – San Antonio, TX
You’ll start day two with a tour of the San Antonio cityscape. You’ll visit The Alamo, Institute of Texan Culture, and Mission of San Jose before making your way to the San Antonio Shoe Factory, a family-owned operation well noted for its craftsmanship. This evening, you’ll have the opportunity to either return to the hotel for rest and relaxation or take part in an optional activity of dinner and the IMAX movie, “Alamo… The Price of Freedom.”
Day 3 – San Antonio, TX
Day three will be yours to do with what you will. Whether shopping at the Mexican Marketplace, exploring the city in-depth or simply hanging out along The Riverwalk, you’ll find a variety of ways to stay entertained while being immersed in the unique culture of San Antonio. This afternoon, take part in a private cooking class as you learn the basics of cooking quality Tex-Mex, as well as the art of making the perfect Margarita!
Day 4 – San Antonio & Grapevine, TX
Day four will see you leaving Drury Plaza Hotel and checking-in at the famed Gaylord Texan Hotel in the San Antonio – Grapevine area. The Gaylord Texan features four and a half acres of indoor gardens and waterways encased in glass atriums for a truly unique hotel experience complete with beautiful sights, decadent dining, and trendy shopping options! Of course, being New Year’s Eve, tonight will offer a Gala Dinner Dance with live entertainment and champagne toast for a classy entrance into the New Year.
Day 5 – Grapevine, Dallas & Ft. Worth, TX
The beginning of the New Year will take you to the Dallas – Fort Worth area for a general tour that will highlight sites including the Kennedy Memorial, Sixth Floor Museum, West End, John Bryant Cabin and Thanksgiving Square. After the tour, head towards the Cross Timbers Winery for a tour of the facility and tasting of its product. Come night, settle down to a farewell dinner at an authentic dude ranch for a chance to share memories and one last, good time with the other members of your travel party.
Day 6 – Grapevine, TX
It will be time to part your separate ways and return home with lasting memories of a spectacular New Year and engaging look into Dallas and San Antonio.
