This eight day tour will take you on a journey through the scenic Pacific Northwest and California where you can view the amazing wilderness of the Cascade Mountains and the Rogue River as well as the sprawling metropolises of San Francisco and Portland. Pack a camera and prepare to take advantage of all the photo opportunities found along this trip.

Day 1: Arrive Portland, Oregon - Tour Begins
Your tour starts in Portland, Oregon.

Day 2: Portland - Mt. St. Helens - Portland
Begin your day by touring popular attractions in America's "Best Big City," such as the International Rose Test Garden and Jasper Gardens. You'll then travel to the Mt. St. Helens Visitor Center where you can learn about the history of the state park.

Day 3: Portland - Cascade Mountains - Portland
A drive along Mt. Hood features a view of the Columbia River Gorge. You'll then be entering the slopes of the Cascade Mountain. Your day will be highlighted by a tour of the gorge as well as Bonneville Dam.

Day 4: Portland - Willamette Valley - Newport - Coos Bay
Today you'll be driving through scenic Willamette Valley, an area that contains some of the most fertile soils in Oregon. A wide variety of herbs, vegetables, nuts, flowers, and vineyards are grown here. You'll be stopping in Newport briefly before continuing along the coastline to the Oregon Dunes National Recreation Area.

Day 5: Coos Bay - Bandon State Natural Area - Redwood National Park - Eureka
This morning features a drive to admire the scenery of the Bandon State Natural Area. Along the Beach Loop, you'll be able to see the famous formations of American Indian Legend, Face Rock and the Bandon Rocks. A cruise down the Rogue River will take you into the Oregon wilderness where you can see wildlife such as seals and bald eagles. Your next stop will be at Redwood National Park in California to view some of the world's tallest trees, some of which reach upwards of 300 feet in height. Your overnight stay will be in the fishing and timber village of Eureka.

Day 6: Eureka - San Francisco
Tour the historic Old Town district of Eureka where you can view Victorian architecture. As you continue on your journey, you'll be taken down the "Avenue of the Giants," a highway lined with towering redwood trees. Later on, you'll be crossing the Golden Gate Bride and arriving in San Francisco, the "City by the Bay." Dinner this evening will be at Pier 39 where you can see the Bay and its bridge while you dine.

Day 7: San Francisco
Discover the amazing city of San Francisco with a sightseeing tour that will highlight its most well-known landmarks. Twin peaks, Chinatown near Fisherman's Wharf, and the Golden Gate Bridge are all places you'll visit and sights you'll view. After the tour, spend the rest of the day exploring the city on your own.

Day 8: San Francisco - Tour Ends
Although your tour ends today, the memories of the journey you've had through the Pacific Northwest and California will stay with you forever.
