Day 1: Pigeon Forge, Tennessee - Tour Begins
Begin your tour of the Great Smokies at Pigeon Forge, Tennessee.
Day 2: Pigeon Forge - Asheville, North Carolina - Pigeon Forge
Travel into the Great Smoky Mountain National Park, the most visited national park in the United States. Enjoy the misty mountain scenery and look for wildlife including wild turkey, white-tailed deer and black bear. After exiting the park, visit the ostentatious Biltmore Estate, a 250 room mansion owned by the Vanderbilt family. Explore the expansive 8,000 acre estate and enjoy a taste of wine on the grounds at the Biltmore Winery.
Day 3: Pigeon Forge - Gatlinburg - Pigeon Forge
Start the day off with a morning show before taking time to explore Gatlinburg at your leisure. Enjoy the many specialty shops and restaurants in town. Sit down for dinner in the evening, and then catch an energetic Country & Western show at Country Tonite Theatre.
Day 4: Pigeon Forge - Nashville
The morning is free to enjoy at your leisure. Many will opt for a trip to the Dollywood theme park, which features over forty shows a day and many other exciting attractions and rides. In the afternoon, head east to Nashville to enjoy a riveting performance at the Grand Ole Opry!
Day 5: Nashville
Take a tour of Nashville and see its most notable sights, including the Parthenon, Music Row, and the Old Ryman Auditorium. In the evening, enjoy a hearty dinner and first rate entertainment at the world famous Wild Horse Saloon.
Day 6: Nashville - Bardstown, Kentucky - Louisville
Welcome to Kentucky, the “Bluegrass State.” Today’s highlights will include Abe Lincoln’s birthplace and Bardstown, Kentucky, where half the world’s bourbon is distilled. Enjoy a tour of Maker’s Mark Bourbon Distillery. Finally, pay a visit to the 18th century plantation that inspired Stephen Foster’s song “My Old Kentucky Home.”
Day 7: Louisville - Lexington - Louisville
Take a trip to the world famous Churchill Downs, home to the Kentucky Derby horse race. Then a short drive to Lexington will introduce you to the 1,200 acre Kentucky Horse Park, home to nearly 50 breeds of horses, and featuring two great museums. Finally, enjoy a delightful farewell dinner aboard the Star Cruise.
Day 8: Louisville - Tour Ends
The tour concludes in Louisville, but you will have many memories to savor as you depart.
