Below is an itinerary of everything you can look forward to during your tour through the Alpine Countries.

Air 1: Overnight Flight
Start your vacation tour off with an overnight flight* to your first destination.

Day 2: Vienna, Austria - Tour Begins
You'll be arriving in the city of Vienna, Austria for the beginning of your tour. Make a stop in the village of Grinzing this evening for a welcome dinner with local wines and entertainment with your fellow travelers.

Day 3: Vienna
Tour Vienna today with highlights such as Belvedere Palace, Schoenbrunn, and St. Stephan's Cathedral. Astonishing baroque architecture and Gothic spires will meet you at every turn. Spend the rest of day as you wish. In the evening, you'll be enjoying dinner at a popular local restaurant.

Day 4: Vienna - Danube River Cruise - Melk - Salzburg
Upon leaving Vienna, you'll travel along the shore of the Danube River to the town of Durnstein. Then, you'll take a cruise along the Danube River through the Wachau Valley. Stop in Melk for a visit to the Benedictine Abbey before continuing your journey on to Salzburg, "City of Music."

Day 5: Salzburg - Mozart Dinner Concert
A walking tour of the Old Town (Altstadt) in Salzburg will take you to the birthplace of Mozart, Mirabell Gardens, and the Cathedral. Recognizable locations from the "Sound of Music" will be highlights of your tour today. After the tour, spend the rest of the afternoon as you like. This evening a Mozart Dinner Concert at the St. Peter's Restaurant will be a treat. Enjoy your meal, featuring 17th and 18th century recipes, by candlelight in the Baroque Hall while listening to some of the most popular compositions by Mozart as they are performed by musicians in lively historic attire.

Day 6: Salzburg - Munich, Germany - Oberammergau
Travel through the countryside of Austria on your way to Germany. You'll be arriving in the capital of Bavaria, Munich. A city tour will take you around to see sites such as Marienplatz, the Glockenspiel, and the Olympic Park. After your tour, you'll be heading to the village of Oberammergau in the Alps of Bavaria.

Day 7: Oberammergau - Passion Play
Today, you'll be treated to a performance of Oberammergau’s historic Passion Play. The first performance was in 1634 as a vow to honor of the life of Christ because the village was spared from the Black Plague. It has been performed every 10 years since then. This is sure to be an unforgettable event and the high point of your journey.

Day 8: Oberammergau - Rhine Falls - Black Forest
You'll be visiting Wies Chruch today, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. From there you'll continue on a tour of the Bavarian castle of Neuschwanstein. Pass through southern Germany along the shores of Lake Constance and pass the Rhine Falls to the Black Forest. While there, you can shop for authentic cuckoo clocks and wood carvings.

Day 9: Black Forest - Chateau de Chillon, Lake Geneva, Switzerland - Zermatt
A visit of the Chateu de Chillon on Lake Geneva will be one of your stops today. Continue traveling through Rhone, a region known for wine-growing, before arriving at the Swiss Alps. Once in the village of Tasch, you'll be boarding a train for a brief ride to Zermatt.

Day 10: Zermatt
Your day starts with a tour of the village of Zermatt. Then you'll have free time to sample pastries at local cafés and relax.

Day 11: Zermatt -Lucerne - Bern
Today, travel to the "Swiss Paradise on the Lake," the lovely city of Lucerne. Take a walking tour of the old town for a look at the city's hidden treasures spanning the 800 years of its history such as the Chapel Bridge, the Water Tower prison, the Lion Monument, the Jesuit Church, and Town Hall. You'll spend the afternoon traveling to Bern.

Day 12: Bern
Explore Bern with a panoramic tour featuring sights such as the Swiss Parliament (Bundeshaus), the Rose Gardens, the Gothic cathedral, and the Bear Pit. In the evening, join up with your fellow travelers for a farewell dinner.

Day 13: Bern - Tour Ends
Your tour ends today in the city of Bern. Reminisce about all you've seen and experienced on you tour of the Alpine countries and Oberammergau on your flight back home.
