Cycle Tour of Central Thailand
Cycle Tour of Central Thailand

With the Cycle Tour of Central Thailand you'll find an unprecedented look into the country by bicycle with stops at the metropolis setting of Bangkok, iconic sights such as Kanchanaburi and the floating market, and the simple, beautiful backcountry of Thailand. And whether you're a professional rider or weekend warrior, the pacing of this adventure should be suitable for most riders, offering a perfect chance for the family to bond while exploring culture a world away.

Day 1 - You'll want to arrive in Bangkok on the first day of your Cycle Tour of Central Thailand to meet with your Tour Manager and the rest of your party. Once the travel group is fully assembled it will be time to take a short drive to Samut Songkram. You'll have the opportunity to explore the Damnoen Nam Saduak (floating market) before taking off on a long tail boat ride through the canals of the area to an authentic river-side temple to begin your cycling journey. Throughout the day, you'll visit temples including Wat Amphawan Chetiyaram, take in a riverside lunch, and eventually return to the floating market to catch a transfer to your resort in Kanchanaburi. Day One Total Distance Cycled: Approximately 32 km

Day 2 - Wake bright and early on day two as you prepare to explore the city of Kanchanaburi. The day will start with sights including the Bridge over the River Kwai, and Wat Prasat Muang Singh. After exploring the city proper, you'll take a train ride long The Death Railway to visit Kraset Caves. Throughout the afternoon, you'll also trek the countryside by bicycle passing plantations and temples along the way. Once back at the hotel, you'll find some free time to freshen up before reconvening with your travel group for dinner. Day Two Total Distance Cycled: Approximately 30 km

Day 3 - Arise for breakfast and then jump on your bike and head from the hotel towards the Sai Yok waterfalls! Once at Sai Yok, you'll even have the opportunity to break for a short swim. After sampling the waters it will be time to trek towards Ayutthaya and visit temples of Wat Phra Mahathat, Wat Yai Chai Mongkol, and Wat Phra Sri Sanphet. Day Three Total Distance Cycled: Approximately 30 km

Day 4 - On the last day of your journey through Thailand you'll have the option to wake early to visit the floating market and purchase food to donate to the area monks. If you'd rather rest, you can join with the rest of the group at breakfast. After breakfast, you'll cycle to sites including Wat Phra Mahtathat Wat Sisanphet and Wat Chai Mongkol. Then, you'll visit the palace of Bang Pa-In, break for lunch and finally catch a transfer back to the city of Bangkok, where the venture will come to a close. Day Four Total Distance Cycled: Approximately 32 km
