Whether by land or by sea, a trip to New England awaits thee. Travel via boat and by train across the six states of New England. Begin in historic Boston, Massachusetts and branch out into the coastal villages and mountain towns of Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Connecticut, and Rhode Island. Enjoy everything from quiet mountain vistas to the world’s largest casino.

Day 1: Boston, Massachusetts - Tour Begins
Begin your tour in New England’s largest metropolitan area, Boston, Massachusetts. Prepare for your exciting travels ahead with a good night’s rest in the Sheraton Newton hotel.

Day 2: Boston - Portland, Maine

Take a tour of historic Boston, beginning at the Old South Meeting House, the organizing place for the Boston Tea Party. Also, visit Beacon Hill and the U.S.S. Constitution, the world’s oldest commissioned battleship. In the evening, head to the rocky shores of Maine and enjoy a glorious welcome dinner featuring Maine lobster.

Day 3: Portland
Begin the day with a tour of Portland, including a stop at the Portland Harbor Museum. Following the city tour, you will embark upon a ferry cruise of Casco Bay, where you can view delightful Victorian cottages on Little Island and Great Diamond Island.

Day 4: Portland - North Conway, New Hampshire
Travel from Maine to New Hampshire on the Conway Scenic railroad, which will take you past beautiful mountains, rushing brooks and sharp ravines on your way to North Conway. You will arrive early enough to browse the shops.

Day 5: North Conway - West Dover, Vermont
Drive through the gorgeous White Mountains alongside Crawford Notch. Take a thrilling climbing cog rail ride up Mt. Washington, the highest point in New Hampshire, and home to some of the world’s most unpredictable weather. End the day in the Green mountains of Vermont.

Day 6: Vermont
Enjoy the bucolic pastoral scenes of rural Vermont with a full day sightseeing tour on the Green Mountain Flyer Train. Stop at a New England farm house for lunch and a 1921 Model T tour of the farm. In the evening, enjoy a romantic carriage ride, as you are pulled along by Friesian horses.

Day 7: Vermont - Ledyard, Connecticut
From the quiet woods of Vermont you will head south to Ledyard, Connecticut and the Foxwood Resort Casino, the largest casino in the world. The casino complex covers an amazing 4.7 million square feet with 340,000 square feet devoted to gaming space.

Day 8: Connecticut
See the scenic Connecticut countryside from water and rail. A ride aboard the Essex Steam Train will grant you spectacular views of the Connecticut River. Then a journey aboard the Becky Thatcher River Boat will take you by splendid riverfront homes.

Day 9: Connecticut - Newport, Rhode Island
Complete the tour of New England by visiting its smallest state, Rhode Island. Enjoy a trip to the seaside town of Newport and enjoy a delicious farewell dinner cruise on a yacht.

Day 10: Newport - Tour Ends
Your tour by boat and rail concludes. Having visited all six New England states, you now have many memories to take home with you.

Experience New England with a remarkable ten day tour that takes you from the streets of Boston, to the coast of Maine, to the mountains of New Hampshire, to the covered bridges of Vermont, to the towns and seaside resorts of Connecticut and Rhode Island.
