Day 1: Halifax, Nova Scotia - Tour Begins
Begin your tour in Halifax, Nova Scotia with accommodations in the Westin Nova Scotian.
Day 2: Halifax - Peggy’s Cove - Halifax
Begin your day with an excursion to the picturesque Peggy’s Cove where a weathered lighthouse peers out over the cobalt blue waters of the North Atlantic. Return to Halifax for lunch before taking a tour of Nova Scotia’s capital city. Tour highlights will include the Citadel, the waterfront, Public Gardens and the Titanic gravesite, where you can learn about Halifax’s role in rescuing Titanic survivors.
Day 3: Halifax - Moncton, New Brunswick
A trip to New Brunswick will include a visit to the Olivier Soapery, where you can learn about the history of soap making and even participate by making soap yourself.
Day 4: Moncton
Visit the Hopewell Rocks which jut four stories above the water at low tide and then nearly disappear under the water at high tide. You will also visit a quaint fishing town, Shediac, which is nicknamed the “Lobster Capital of the World”. Here you will be able to board a fishing boat to catch and prepare your own lobster.
Day 5: Moncton - Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island
Today’s travels take you to laid back Prince Edward Island, which was the backdrop for the book “Anne of Green Gables”.
Day 6: Charlottetown
Visit the Anne of Green Gables Museum and the house in which the author, Lucy Maud Montgomery, lived. Next visit a potato farm, before hitting the spectacular beaches of Cavendish National Park. In the evening, a trip to Founders’ Hall concludes the day’s events.
Day 7: Charlottetown - Baddeck, Nova Scotia
Today’s highlights include a trip to scenic Cape Breton Island. Drive along Canada’s only inland sea and enjoy the scenic vistas and unmarred shoreline. Then see Alexander Graham Bell’s hometown of Baddeck where you can learn more about his incredible inventions at the Alexander Graham Bell Museum.
Day 8: Baddeck - Cabot Trail - Baddeck
Enjoy one of Canada’s most scenic drives along the Cabot Trail which will offer amazing views of the area’s rugged mountains and the blue waters of the Atlantic Ocean as they crash ashore. Several fishing communities along the way will provide opportunities to experience the Atlantic Coast culture of this beautiful region of Canada.
Day 9: Baddeck - Halifax
You will make the journey back to Halifax, where a delicious farewell dinner will offer you a chance to reminisce with your fellow travelers about everything you have seen and experienced.
Day 10: Halifax - Tour Ends
