The Best of the Great Canadian Rockies and British Columbia is an eleven day journey throughout the natural beauty and rugged terrain found from Banff, Alberta to Vancouver, British Columbia. Throughout the experience, take in the sights of major cities, roam the natural expanse of Canada, and immerse yourself in many of the country's national parks for a thorough look into both the Great Canadian Rockies and British Columbia.
DAY 1 - Calgary, AB
Day one of the Best of the Great Canadian Rockies and British Columbia will see you checking into your hotel and settling into what is sure to be the adventure of a lifetime. This evening, gather with the rest of your travel companions and enjoy dinner as you get to better know your new-found friends and prepare for the adventure ahead.
DAY 2 - Banff, AB
Upon awaking, take to the streets of Calgary with a full city tour introducing you to the sights of Alberta's largest city. From Calgary, you will travel west towards Banff and settle down into the town for the night.
DAY 3 - Lake Louise / Takakkaw Falls / Yoho National Park / Emerald Lake
Day three offers a packed outing of natural exploration. Travel the famed Bow Valley Parkway, with your stop being at Johnston Canyon. Featuring rugged cliffs and majestic waterfalls, Johnston Canyon is an amazing scene of stark differences. From Johnston Canyon, Lake Louise will be the next stop along the day. Here, experience shimmering glaciers and mammoth mountain peaks in what can only be described as one of Canada's more cherished landmarks. After visiting Lake Louise, cross the Continental Divide en route to Yoho National Park, Takakkaw Falls and Emerald Lake.
DAY 4 - Icefields Parkway
The majority of day four will be spent along the Icefields Parkway, the iconic mountain highway that crosses Alberta, Banff. Along the journey, pass Bow Pass, Peyto Lake and Mistaya River Valley. Once you arrive at the Columbia Icefield you will have the opportunity to ride upon the ice via Ice Explorer for an up close view at Athabasca glacier. Come night, you will finally arrive in your destination, Jasper, and settle down for the evening.
DAY 5 - Jasper
The morning of day five will be spent visiting Whistler Mountain via the Japser Tram. Once at the peak of the mountain, you will be treated to breakfast for a one-of-a-kind way with which to start the day. Later, enjoy sightseeing along Maligne Canyon, and then visit Maligne Lake.
DAY 6 - Sun Peaks, BC
Day six will lead you past Mount Robson, the highest peak in the Canadian Rockies, along the Thompson River, and finally to the village of Sun Peaks.
DAY 7 - Vancouver, BC
The entirety of day seven will be spent in the metropolitan setting of Vancouver, BC. You will have the entire day to yourself for sightseeing, shopping, general attractions or even simply resting up for the last leg of your vacation.
DAY 8 - Whistler, BC
Take a city tour of Vancouver before finally departing for Whistler on the eighth day of your travels. Stanley Park, Chinatown and the English Bay will all be seen along with other notable sights and landmarks throughout the city. After touring Vancouver, it will be time to depart for Whistler, home of the 2010 Winter Olympic Games.
DAY 9 - Vancouver, BC
Just as day eight in Vancouver, day nine in Whistler will begin with the chance to explore the town's many quaint charms. Come afternoon, you will travel to Vancouver along the Sea to Sky Highway, and then board a ferry to Vancouver Island.
DAY 10 - Vancouver, BC
On day ten, you will be treated with a day trip to Victoria, BC complete with the chance to visit the famed Butchart Gardens. From enjoying afternoon tea to leisurely strolling through the many gardens featured at Butchart, there are a variety of calming scenes awaiting.
DAY 11 - Vancouver, BC
Your time in the Great Canadian Rockies and British Columbia will come to an end on day eleven, though not before you've had the chance to trek from Banff, Alberta and through the untouched wilderness that connects it to Vancouver.
