Autumn Mountain Escape

Journey through the Mountains and experience the beautiful Western region of North Carolina. Get with the family and enjoy a good old mountain train ride, learn about the Cherokee Nation and see the fantastic views at Chimney Rock Park.

Day 1: Arrive in Asheville, North Carolina

Be greeted by a "Deluxe Welcome Reception" and an awaiting tour representative. Enjoy the fun and excitement of an "Old Fashioned Mountain-Style Party" at the Taylor Ranch with a hayride, barbecue dinner, bluegrass band , and cloggers for the food and entertainment. But don't stop there, dance the night away and wind down by a warm crackling campfire and roast some marshmallows before the last of the entertainment for the day.

Day 2: Great Smoky Mountain Railroad

Eat a hearty extended deluxe continental breakfast in the morning because you have a full day of adventures ahead of you. Take a ride aboard the Great Smoky Mountain Railroad where you can relax while you travel through the mountains and view the beautiful countryside, go through the famous mountain tunnels and over river gorges where scenes from "The Fugitive" were filmed. After shopping in Bryson City head back to Harrah's Cherokee Casino in Cherokee, North Carolina to try your luck. Have some lunch on your own and then it's off to the Museum of the Cherokee Indian where you will hear some interpretive legends about the Cherokee Indians. Hurry back to freshen up and let the evening begin with a dinner buffet at Biltmore Estate's Deerpark Restaurant. After dinner be guided by candlelight on a private tour of George Vanderbilt's 1895 Biltmore Estate mansion with music entertainment.

Day 3: Biltmore Estate

Have your hotel's expanded deluxe continental breakfast and get ready for a day of touring through the Biltmore Estate mansion as well as the beautiful gardens, conservatory, and the Biltmore Winery. After wards enjoy a picnic lunch under the pavilion right before you venture out and shop for awhile at the shops next to the house. During some free time in the afternoon you may choose to explore Asheville or spend some time resting before yet another night of fun with live entertainment. Enjoy the food at the cook-out-dinner, the entertainment with music and a nature history program. Don't think the night is over yet, there is still much to see as you enjoy the view from the top of "the rock" at Chimney Rock Park and look across 75 miles of beautiful nature.

Day 4: Return Home

Depart for home after a fulfilling expanded deluxe continental breakfast at your hotel.
