DAY 1 – Arrive Halifax, NS
Begin your Atlantic Maritimes Tour in Halifax, Nova Scotia with two nights lodging in downtown Halifax.
DAY 2 – Halifax Touring, NS
After a morning tour of the city of Halifax, take the afternoon to enjoy additional touring at your leisure. An evening reception will give you the chance to become acquainted with your fellow travelers for the next eight days.
DAY 3 – Halifax, NS – Digby, NS
The day begins with an excursion to Peggy’s Cove, an old fashioned fishing village. Next a visit to Lunenburg gives you an option to take a historic walking tour or to visit the Fisheries Museum of the Atlantic. Finally, the day concludes as The Pines Resort in Digby, Nova Scotia, located overlooking the Bay of Fundy. The Bay of Fundy has the highest tides in the world.
DAY 4 – Digby, NS – Moncton, NB
After breakfast, we tour the Annapolis Valley before heading into New Brunswick for an overnight stay in Moncton.
DAY 5 – Moncton, NB – Charlottetown, PE
A guided tour takes you to Hopewell Rocks, where during low tide you can walk the ocean floor. Continuing onward, we will cross Confederation Bridge, the world’s longest continuous multi-span bridge, onto Prince Edward Island. A lobster dinner will bring a fulfilling end to today’s activities.
DAY 6 – Prince Edward Island Touring
An afternoon tour of Charlottetown will be followed by a visit to the pristine landscapes of Prince Edward Island National Park, home to gentle sand dunes and gorgeous red sandstone cliffs.
DAY 7 – Charlottetown, PE – Baddeck, NS
Cross into Nova Scotia via ferry and see the Alexander Graham Bell National Historic Site in Baddeck, which commemorates the inventors many accomplishments and discoveries.
DAY 8 – Cabot Trail Touring
Take a drive along the scenic Cabot Trail. Visit the picturesque Cape Breton Highlands National Park, and enjoy the breathtaking scenery. Enjoy a whale watching tour (weather permitting) that gives you a chance to view the gentle giants of the Atlantic.
DAY 9 – Baddeck, NS – Halifax, NS
Today’s highlight is a trip to the Fortress of Louisbourg National Historic Site where costumed guides dress and act as if it is still 1744, recreating the town as it was over 250 years ago.
DAY 10 – Depart Halifax, NS
The trip comes to a conclusion, but the fond memories will endure for a lifetime.
