My daughter after a year started calling me (Oneida) mom, I will never forget that day. We have been very close ever since. Julie was diagnosis with bi-polar at the age of 14. Her life was about to change totaly. She was looking for her mom and figured out it would be easier doing this not living at home. She strated to run away , more then 5 times in one month, she was not going to school even when I took her to the door and walked her in.We as parents had to make a very difficult decision to turn her over to DCFS. They treated her condition, she found her mom and got here into treatment 3 times. It did not work. Her mother died of an overdose in 2004. Never realy getting to know her grandson Anthony. He is the light of my life. And she missed out on him. With the birth of Anthony 2002, Julie was diagnosed with degenerative disk disorder. She has undergone 5 operations since 2004. Her ability to walk has made it hard to raise a 4 year old. Dave and I have been thier to make sure he does not miss out on all the things kids should be doing. I know my daughter hurt when she see's us and can't for physical and mental reasons enjoy him. Julie is unable to work a real job so she watches children at home. This pay very little. All that Julie has, she would glady give away. She has a big heart and is always concernd about other instead of herself. A trip to Canada Falls, would be perfect for her she had not been anywhere for such a long time, shopping makes her happy. I thank you for this oppertunity to write about here she is the beat that makes my heart go. I was not blessed with my own children . I thank God everyday for placing her in my life. Their are alays people with more need then I, but this is from the heart. Mine: Oneida |
