Four years ago, my family moved to Arkansas from New Jersey to try to have a better life. I live with my husband and two of our three sons, ages 17, adn 15 (my eldest lives back East and is 23). We were on our way to being somewhat comfortable since our lives have really been nothing but money tight. My husband and I both had good jobs at the local hospital. Two years ago, my husband was diagnosed with Parkinson's, just a couple months after a major surgery for me. He was told he could not work any longer. Since then, I have had three surgeries, and eventually lost my job due to absences.

Now with no health insurance and stretched income, not only do our health issues have to be put on hold, but a vacation is no where in the future. My sons deserve a good vacation, one that they can remember with their Dad, since we don't know where his disease will lead in the future. They have had to grow up so much the past two years, I feel they deserve some time to just enjoy the family---and we need to have this memory to get us through the rough times we know we still have to come.
