This wonderful woman survived many years of abuse in her first marriage. Several years after her divorce she met and married a man who was wonderful to her. She lost him however due to a massive heart attack. Before the heart attack the man suffered a stroke and became diabetic and this woman took care of his medical needs. The amazing part of this is during this time, the woman was also taking care of her youngest son who has Duchene Muscular Dystrophy. While married to her second husband the family took their only trip out west only to have it end abruptly due to a car accident of no fault of their own. Since then, the woman and her son, watch and listen to the many stories on tv of trips and places to visit. They watch and they dream. For you see, they live on disability and barely make ends meet. Each day for them is a miracle that they have survived once more. Recently the woman found out that the tumor is back and must be operated on again. She still hangs on to her dreams though that things will get easier. She and her son talk of places they'd love to go knowing that it would take a miracle for this dream to come through. I'm writing to ask each of you readers to make this miracle come true. They could both use a miracle to make their world a little brighter. Due to the lack of income the son can venture no farther than his computer or tv as their home is not very accessible for his wheelchair and respirator. The woman too has a struggle as the tumor is pressing on her optic nerve. If I could give them the world I would, but the these two wonderful people would just settle for seeing any place outside their home. They can't even travel to visit family due to the lack of transportation and funds. Won't you help make this dream come true? I'm nominating this family because I love them and they deserve more than I could ever repay for all the love, courage and perseverance they've shown me. This wonderful family I speak of is my mother and brother. Won't you please show them a miracle. |

You never know how good you have it until you hear stories like this. All these people deserve a vacation but this just struck my heart.
