Vacations Made Easy is very excited to announce the "Believe in Dreams" program. Through this program, it is our hope that we will be able to give some deserving families a chance to see the vacation dreams they have become a reality. Hard times can be tough on the entire family, and sometimes a long-overdue vacation is just what that family needs to come together again. If your family or a family you know has faced an extreme situation or severe hardship and been financially unable to take a vacation, we want to help you "Believe in Dreams."

What is Believe in Dreams?

Believe in Dreams is the philanthropic program initiated by Vacations Made Easy to help the vacation dreams of some deserving families come true. The realities of life can impact a family tremendously, and personal tragedies can create severe hardships for each member in the family.

We know that through the wonder of an unforgettable vacation experience, families can be brought back together, and when that happens, any hardship can be faced.

Who is eligible to participate?

Any family who has faced or is currently facing a severe hardship or extreme situation that has prevented them from being able to take a vacation is encouraged to submit their story. In addition, if you know a family who deserves but is unable to take their dream vacation due to some extreme circumstances, you may nominate that family for consideration in the program. All voting will be done by our site visitors, so the voting public will decide who is in the most need of a vacation.

What inspired the program?

Vacations Made Easy is a company grounded in a strong policy of philanthropy and giving back, and we work with vacationing families on a daily basis. That's why when representatives from television's Maury contacted our company in mid-March of 2006 to help a family in need, we were thrilled with the opportunity. After seeing the impact that the prospect of a week-long family vacation had for this family - whose infant daughter almost lost her life in an accident and still faces serious challenges - we were inspired to find more families who might be in similar situations and in need of a long-overdue getaway. We want to make sure these families have a renewed reason to Believe in Dreams.

My family definitely deserves and needs this vacation. What do I do?

If you are interested in being considered for the program, please read the Believe in Dreams guidelines completely and carefully, then submit your story using the entry form. Our site visitors will then have the opportunity to read all submissions and vote on which one they feel most deserves their dream vacation. Please be sure to read everything carefully, as only those submissions that adhere to the guidelines will be considered.

I know a family who could really use some help. How can I help them?

We welcome submissions from third parties who would like to feature a family for consideration in the program. Simply follow the link below and complete the information for yourself and for the family you are nominating for the Believe in Dreams program. We do ask that you get permission to use the family's name and story on our site before submitting their information.

How can I help make one of these families' dream vacation come true?

First of all, read the submissions and choose which family you feel is most deserving of a vacation. Then starting June 1, return to the site and vote for that family. We encourage you to share the stories with friends, and ask them to vote as well. Our hope is that once a family is selected by you and other voters, everyone who participated by voting can enjoy a sense of pride over helping make a dream come true for a deserving family. The final decision over who goes on vacation is yours, so be sure to encourage all of your friends to support the Believe in Dreams program!
