It's like an old time trading post as well as a museum/store that carries many interesting items such as baskets, Indian jewelry and gifts of all kinds. Many tourists that come to Wisconsin Dells to buy souvenirs and unique items claim that Parson's is their favorite store. Parson's has been around since the 1920s and is as popular now as it was then.
One item of particular interest to many tourists is the large Indian horse mural that hangs on the wall. In spite of the fact that they are painted on a stucco wall, the details and color schemes on the horses is exquisite and eye-catching. It's almost impossible to walk past these murals without stopping to slowly study the fine art work that went into their creation.
Parson's has many unique items, many of which are very old but still new products. Many of these items are so old you would expect to see them in an opened container on display in an antique store, yet they are still in their original unopened container. Some of the items that customers enjoy are their cedar creations. Due to the many aromatic cedar products in the store, the store has a delicious scent in the air.
The aisles are very full and carefully stocked making it easy to view the many things they sell such as Wee Hunter souvenir letter openers, manmade clay air fresheners, Indian beadwork, jewelry and many vintage postcards.
