The Episcopal Church of Grand County in Winter park, Colorado is more than a simply church. It is a tribute to a life that was unique during the turn of the century and today stands as a historical location and a practicing church. The first Episcopal Church in the area was established in Kremming during the years of 1911 and 1917. The members of that church were able to erect the church building which now serves as the Community Church. Unfortunately, this church never seemed to thrive and later failed. The Episcopal Church which was the first in Eastern Grand County did not come along until the 1950's.
Today, visitors can come and enjoy the church as it stands. It is currently titled the Episcopal Church of Saint John the Baptist, in Granby. Not only does the church offer a range of community services, but it offers guidance, help and a welcoming community feel. The church offers Saturday and Sunday Services to locals as well as visitors. Sunday services are at 9 am each week while Saturday services are at 5 PM each week. The church is small and provides a tight community feel to it. Saturday Services take place in the Cranmer Memorial Chapel located on Hi County Drive behind the local movie theater, in Winter Park.
Visitors to the church can learn about its unique history as well as the many ministries it performs for those in the parish and outside of it. For additional activities and information, contact the church directly.
