Alpine Sun Ski and Sport is located 1/3 mile from Winter Park Resort in Old Town Winter Park. This rental shop features free all day parking and a shuttle. Kids 9 and under can rent skis for free with a full priced adult Ski Rental Package. For children 10-14 years, ski rental is 1/2 off with an adult Ski Rental Package. The rental shop offers over night ski and board tuning and a range of accessories. There is also a Demo Package available which will allow customers to try out different skis each day. All boots are chosen by a certified technician to ensure a safe and comfortable fit.
Packages include a Sports Package ($19.00), Performance Package ($24.00), Demo Ski Package($35.00 with boots), Snowboard Package ($28.00 with boots), Tele Gear Package ($35.00) and Backcountry Gear Package ($45.00).
Alpine Sun Ski and Sport will tune ski binding especially tailored to your physical built and skiing skills. You will need to inform them of your skier type, height, weight, age and boot sole length. There are three types of skiers, Type 1 are for more cautious skiers who will need a lighter release or retention, Type 2 is for moderate skiing and Type 3 is for moderate skiing but with more of a release or retention than Type 2.
