The Windham Vineyard and Winery has the highest elevated vineyards in a picturesque New England setting, offering its visitors a unique and exquisite treat not only for the eyes but for the taste buds as well. The Windham Vineyard and Winery has two vineyards that are located 2,000 and 2,200 feet above sea level, making this winery the highest elevated in the northeastern United States. Because of the cold winters of the Northeast, Windham Vineyard and Winery grows unique breeds of grapes that can withstand harsh temperatures and of course, make excellent wines.
Although the vineyards themselves are a picturesque sight, no trip to a winery is complete without some wine tasting. Windham Vineyard and Winery has both a tasting bar and a vineyard deck, which are both great places to relax and enjoy the fine wines of this winery from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. daily. Since the grapes can withstand harsh winter weather, Windham Vineyard and Winery is open year round, with the exception of a short break in April.
