Muscarelle Museum of Art at William and Mary College in Williamsburg, VA
Over four thousand works of art fill the galleries at the Muscarelle Museum of Art bringing together modern and classic works with new exhibitions every few months. Made possible by donations and primarily private funds from Joseph L. Muscarelle, the museum is located in Lamberson Hall at The College of William and Mary on Jamestown Road. The first floor features works from the museum's permanent collection and the second floor alternates new exhibits and highlights different mediums, artists, and styles.
Exhibits may vary from large groups of intricate tapestries, to Picasso, Georgia O'Keefe, and other great painters. Colonial to 20th century American and European paintings, modern sculpture, ceramics, and canvas are all featured at the museum. A unique collection is always available at the Muscarelle Museum of Art.
