This resort is widely known for their great18-hole courses with beautiful scenery and brilliant design.
The River Course has been a popular PGA Tour site for 22 years and running. This is a challenging course with water hazards, tree lined fairways, and small greens; it is also known for its signature 17th hole — a par 3 hole perched on the edge of the James River.
The Plantation Course is a fun and challenging course that may be considered a bit easier than the River Course, yet still no walk in the park. This course is a bit more wide open and requires a smidge less pin point accuracy, yet still incorporates water hazards in eight of its holes, has trees lining the fairway, and fast greens. There are also Historical landmarks from a 1736 plantation are woven into the landscape of this course to add to your experience.
The newest course, the Woods Course, is said to be the most challenging yet. With rolling terrain, plenty of trees, water on 7 holes, and even a double green with a bunker in its center, this course is more difficult than the River Course. The terrain of the first 9 holes is open and easy to walk, but the last nine is very hilly and a cart is recommended.
If you are looking to play a bit of a shorter game, the Bray Links Course is just for you. This 9-hole, par-3 course is played by everyone from children to businessmen and is available ot all Kingsmill Resort guests. Whether you are starting a day of the family vacation out on this course or taking a load off between business meetings, this course will provide a boost of challenging fun.
