Explore the sites of two of the most significant locations in American history at Colonial National Historical Park near Williamsburg. The park includes the Historic Jamestowne Settlement & the
Yorktown National Battlefield, site of the final decisive battle of the Revolutionary War. These two sites are divided by less than 25 physical miles, and by nearly 175 years of history, but together symbolize the struggles and triumphs of American colonists & patriots in their quest for freedom.
The two sites are connected by the Colonial Parkway, which travels along the James River and connects the major sites directly. In addition to key historic sites, the Colonial National Historical Park features a wide variety of wildlife, plant life, wetlands, forest, fields, shorelines and streams for a natural adventure.
