Discover the history of Hampton's aviation at Air Power Park, located approximately 30 miles southeast of Williamsburg, Virginia. Visitors can tour over 50 permanent outdoor air and space exhibits of model airplanes and more. The displays feature such aeronautical monsters as fighter planes, missiles, and rockets. There is also a wind tunnel exhibit that offers you the chance to fly. Air Power Park also contains aircraft of the United States' various branches of the military. Guests can also learn of local aviation history and more. Pack a lunch if you like, because there is space for picnicking, and as well as for playing on the playground.
Air Power Park is open daily from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. They are closed on Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, and New Year's Day. Come one and come all, because admission is free.
