Don't miss the all American Christmas celebration in
Yorktown, Virginia, located just 15 miles east of Williamsburg.
The festivities begin at 7 p.m. with the Procession of Lights. This parade is led by the Fifes and Drums of York Town through town and all the way to the site of the official "village tree." Here, there will be entertainment, hot cider, caroling, and the big man himself (Santa, of course). Then, there will be a boat parade, followed by more musical performances and hot cider by a beach front bonfire. Day two of the event begins at 10 a.m. and runs until 7 p.m. This day is filled with entertainment in shops, galleries, public, and historic buildings. In the evening, visitors and locals alike can enjoy a stroll down Main Street with the Fifes and Drums of York Town.
Day three of the festival runs from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. This day may be most favored by children, as they are able to have cookies with Santa at the Gallery at York Hall. All the events over the three day period are free and open to the public.
