Kick off your Thanksgiving getaway in Williamsburg with a celebration of the Food & Feasts of Colonial Virginia at the
Jamestown Settlement &
Yorktown Victory Center, part of
Colonial National Historical Park. This three-day event will feature demonstrations and sampling of the foods of the 17th and 18th century.
You'll learn how food was gathered, preserved and prepared by both the the English colonists and the Powhatan Indians that called the peninsula home. Visitors will also have the opportunity to learn how soldier's prepared food and what they ate. These exciting events will take guests from "field to kitchen," at the
Jamestown Settlement and the
Yorktown Victory Center!
