From July 15 through October 15, the
Jamestown Settlement will be hosting the special exhibit "A New World: England's First View of America."This highly cherished and informative exhibit will showcase watercolor drawings from John White, and stand as some of the first depictions of the people and habitat of America that England ever saw.
The exhibit is on loan from the British Museum, and is highly sought after throughout the academic community. In total, more than 70 of White's drawings will be featured, with lectures accompanying the exhibit being held on July 19, August 9 and September 20.
