Only if you want to see such classics of theatre as Send Me No Flowers, Cole Porter's You Never Know, The Winslow Boy, Eugene O'Neill's Desire Under The Elms and Mindgame, should you go to Little Theatre in Virginia Beach, Virginia. This is the venue for some of the finest theatre entertainment, but unlike many larger theatres in huge cities, the prices at this Little Theatre are quite reasonable. Ticket prices are $15 for adults and $12 for seniors, students etc. Even better, the seats fill on Sunday because all tickets are just $12.
With no rival as the oldest theatre in the community in continuous operation, the Little Theatre is a non-profit organization operated entirely on volunteer help. Located just a short distance from the ocean shore, Little Theatre of Virginia Beach offers five shows each season. Much of the talent seen on stage is local, as well.
With financial support from the City of Virginia Beach through its Arts and Humanities Commission and from the Carol Chittum Foundation. Season tickets are also available, along with sustaining-level memberships. For example, at the Producer level of $500 or more, the subscription comes with 10 regular season tickets. There are several levels below this, down to $100 for two regular season tickets. Single adult season tickets are $60.
More information about advance ticket sales and reservations is available by calling (757) 428-9233. This 24-hour voicemail service is the only way to make reservations. In general, reservations can be made approximately four weeks before opening night of each show.
