Located on Princess Anne Road, the Kempsville Greens Municipal Golf Club on Virginia is popular with avid golfers for its challenging golf course.
The 6,013 yard course is relatively flat but does consist of undulating mounds to offer experienced golfers a more taxing and captivating game. Originally designed by acclaimed architect John Kelly in 1951, the course is a back nine with several water hazards and bunkers. There is also a practice green where you can warm up before your game, a locker room to store your belongings and hot showers to freshen up once you're through. You can also book a personal coaching session from the expert staff and hone your game under their expert eyes.
The Clubhouse boasts of a restaurant and a snack bar where you can stop by for a light snack and a refreshing ice-cold beer in between games or on your way home. You can also rent a power cart for $12, although the Club does not offer Caddy services. You can even opt to host your private event or celebration at the Clubhouse. The Kempsville Greens Municipal Golf Club offers open play from Monday through Friday while weekend tee times are taken at 8 am on Fridays. You can reserve your tee time unto one week in advance.
