Welcome to the Virginia Air & Space Center, which pays tribute to mankind's advancements into the wild blue yonder and beyond. This interactive attraction boasts more than 110,000 square feet of exhibit space that will put you in the cockpit of the world's most impressive technology, including aircraft and space vessels. The Virginia Air & Space Center exhibits include phenomenal artifacts and memoribilia that trace the history of the air and space programs, as well as the contributions made to these advancements by Virginia and her people. Several permanent exhibits and special traveling exhibits promise a fun-filled, interactive learning experience for the whole family.

- Adventures in Flight
- Explore the 1:48 scale model of the USS Ronald Reagan, which allows visitors to explore the ship and see the outside of the carrier.
- See the accurate replica of the 1903 Wright Flyer while learning about the history of flight.
- Visit the Curtiss Jenny Century, where you can take a "wing walk" on a 1920s-era bi-plane.
- Explore an actual AirTran Airways DC-9 in the Commercial Aviation exhibit.
- Commandeer a Boeing 717 with the Boeing Simulator.

- Space Gallery
- Visitors can travel to Mars in the Mars Transport Theater, gaze at the solar system, make a crater, participate in rover races, and land on the moon.
- Take a vivid tour of the solar system with Magic Planet, a spherical projection system that displays views of all the planets, the moon, and the atmospheric conditions.
- The Space Gallery will even bring you face-to-face with an actual moon rock and Mars meteorite.
