Constructed specifically for the World Expo in 1986, Science World is now a widely recognized symbol signifying Vancouver. It is an outstanding place in which to visit a ton of different science exhibitions.
Located at the end of False Creek and just minutes from the downtown Vancouver area, there are several ways to reach the Science World at Telus World of Science. You can travel by ferry if you are already in the False Creek area in addition to skytrain or aquabus. Some of the permanent exhibits you will see include the Kidspace Gallery, the popular Body Works Gallery, a cool Illusions area and even the Sara Stern Gallery when kids can learn anything and everything about science from chemistry lessons to metallurgy.
There are also featured exhibits that change every so often so there is always something to see that you may not have seen before if you are a repeat visitor. Of course, at the Peter Brown Family Stage, you will get to see science in action with a variety of conducted experiments. In the golf ball part of the Science World at Telus World of Science, you can watch one of the featured Imax movies of the moment. This theater is called the Omnimax and is one of the largest Imax theaters in the world.
For a thoroughly engaging time, the Science World at Telus World of Science in Vancouver is quite a treat. It is kid-friendly but also fun enough to keep the adults interested as well. You cannot ask for a better day of tourist activities in Vancouver than this science delight.
