Although not an entirely complete park, the Creekside Park in Vancouver in British Columbia is a great place to enjoy local events and culture.
Many area events take place at the park, including the Alcan Dragon Boat Festival at the shorelines.
The park is planned to feature 9.5 acres of parkland, with tennis courts for recreational activities and nearly 2 milies of sidewalks. Artificial playing fields and grassy fields alike will be spread out this beautiful area next to False Creek.
Dragon boat racing is definitely at the forefront of the Alcan Dragon Boat Festival, but there is much more to this three day event than mere boat races.
