The Contemporary Art Gallery (CAG) is located at 55 Nelson Street in Vancouver, British Columbia. They are open from Wednesday to Sunday 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM. At CAG you will be to view different exhibits throughout the year. Exhibits are changing throughout the year to expose artists and their works. One of these artists is Henrik HÃ¥kansson. This accomplished Swedish artist exhibits a film installation and large sculptures. The films are created to appreciate romantic landscape. This artist uses nature to express his artistic talent. The films will teach you about nature and art and the relationship humans have with art.
The CAG is made up of art from many artists around the world. You will be able to find many different types of art. There is art at CAG that will strike anyone's interests. The windows and walls of the CAG are covered with 5x7 and 9x12 pockets which enable people to contribute their own art to the gallery. This is a unique feature of the gallery and shows their dedication to exhibit everyone's art. The gallery has a section as well that people can contribute art that does not fit into the pockets like small sculptures or other larger art. Videos are also accepted but cannot be more than 2 minutes long.
