The Canadian Lacrosse Hall of Fame near Vancouver, BC is a must see if you are a huge fan of Canadian sports, specifically lacrosse. This sports museum is located actually within the town limits of New Westminster and housed within the Community Center on East 6th Avenue, directly across from the Canada Games Pool.

Lacrosse is the top warm weather sport in Canada and there is quite a fan base. Open officially in 1967, the Canadian Lacrosse Hall of Fame has enjoyed a growing collection of lacrosse memorabilia from actual equipment to trophies to photographs. If you know nothing of the sport and want to learn more about it, you can definitely do so here. The rules, uniforms, how you play the game and even famous lacrosse sports figures in Canada are depicted in this hall of fame museum.

You will see some championship trophies here like the Mann and Minto Cups. The Mann Cup is for the top lacrosse senior team in Canada while the Minto Cup is for the top lacrosse junior team in Canada. Other things you will see are biographies of the Canadian Lacrosse Hall of Fame inductees and their accomplishments and milestones in the sport.

Sometimes, the museum is closed so you must ask someone at the Community Centre to open it for you if you want to browse through it. It is worth a stop, especially if you are a big lacrosse fan.
