Imagination Station in Vail, CO

The Imagination Station in Vail, CO is a location for children two to 12. In 2007 in was renovated and didn't open again until mid-October.

The Imagination Station is a play-based learning loft located upstairs in the VRD Youth Center in LionsHead, at 395 LionsHead Circle. Its purpose is to provide a "fun environment for local and visiting youth and their families."

At the station, children will enjoy interactive exhibits and playscapes. Children will get a chance to play, observe, wonder and ask lots of questions.

The Imagination Station has a special drop-in program for children three years old and older. To participate in this program, children must be potty trained. Children who participate in this program will be get a chance to stay for up to three hours with Station staff while their parents enjoy the Vail Valley. The staff will guide the children through a variety of activities depending on the child's interests.

The cost for this special drop-in program is $10 per child for a maximum of three hours. Registration is only required for the drop-in program. Children visiting the Imagination Station with their parents or guardians do not need to register.

There's plenty of parking available near the Imagination Station. Until 3 pm, parents can park for 90 minutes free in the Lionshead Parking Structure. After 3 pm the parking is free regardless of the length of the stay, which isn't much of an issue for those only visiting the Imagination Station since it closes before that time.

The Imagination Station is open Monday to Friday from 10 am to 2 pm. It's closed on Saturdays and Sundays. Admission cost is $5 per child. There is no cost for adults and babies.
