Donovan Pavilion and Park in Vail, CO is a popular wedding location and has been referred to as "the gem of Vail." The pavilion was build by the Town of Vail in 2003. The total square footage available for rent at the Donovan Pavilion is larger than may originally appear. Total square footage is more than 5,200 square feet. The pavilion lobby is 402 square feet. The Grand Timber Room is the largest at 2,648 square feet. The Alcove is 443 square feet and the catering kitchen is 272 square feet. There's also a 3,000 square foot terrace overlooking Gore Creek that's heated so that it can easily be used in the winter.
Donovan Pavilion is situated on 50 acres of park and is made out of timber and stone.
The pavilion can accommodate 250 guests while the terrace easily accommodates 100. There's plenty of parking, and those who choose to plan their wedding here can have both their ceremony and reception on the grounds.
The Donovan Pavilion also has some other unique features. It has etched glass windows, wrought iron chandeliers, and a creek side fire pit.
The Donovan Pavilion offers an assortment of amenities including audio visual equipment, a state of the art catering kitchen great for professional caterers and do-it-yourselfers, and furniture.
Examples of audio visual equipment include a wall mounted electric screen, a five disc CD/DVD player, and an in-house sound system for background music and announcements.
Individuals renting the Donovan Pavilion can choose the size and shape of the tables they need. There are 40 6-foot round tables, 12 8-foot rectangular tables, 250 brushed chrome fabric covered chairs and 96 natural wood patio chairs.
